Pokemon - Lia's birthday

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, SMACK!

Out went the alarm clock and Lia suddenly jumped out of bed, not even caring of putting on her bunny slippers. She was, no doubt, really excited right now.

"Today is the day! The day that i wasn't expecting to celebrate it around that numbskull biological father of mine!" said Lia as she went to get dressed.

It was October 9th, and Lia's birthday had finally arrived.

Letting out giggles, Lia headed downstairs, where her step-father, Calem, and his Pokémon, are, waiting no doubt to wish her a happy birthday. But much to her surprise, she found no one, not even Ralts, Froakie, Chespin, Fennekin, Electrike, Eevee, Taillow, Sandshrew, Lillipup, or the baby Kangashkan. "Huh? Where is everyone?" asked Lia. She then found a note on the fridge, and she read it.

Lia,

I left early to work, Blastoise, Charizard and Venusaur are at Michael's, Kangashkan, Diancie, Braixen, Sylvia, Gardevoir, Ralts, Kirlia and Delphox headed to the grocery store, Zoroark and Zorua headed to the park, Gallade, Ditto, Zygarde, Xerneas, Pikachu, Rayquaza and Keldeo went to visit some of their friends and your Pokémon are with Chesnaught and Greninja. If you don't have any plans, do you think you can go to Michelle's house so you can have some company while we're all gone?

P.S: I'll come pick you up after lunch.

"What?!" yelped Lia. "How could papa and the Pokémon forget about my birthday?!" She whimpered and then perks up again. "Hey! I'm gonna go see Ethan! Maybe he had remembered my birthday!"

She then grabs her keys and leaves the house. When she got to Max and Bonnie's house and sees Ethan and Nathan playing soccer.

"Howdy Ethan!" she greeted.

"Oh, h-hi." blushed Ethan as he looked at her. Then, he walks up to her, with the ball in his arm. "No wonder why you're here. It's probably a special day." he said. Lia smiled widely. He probably remembered. But before he could keep up, Nathan covered his mouth with his hand.

"I-it's nothing much Lia. We're just practicing some soccer." said Nathan. Lia got disappointed.

"Nevermind..." she said. "Well, i'll go to Michelle's house and be there until papa comes to pick me up. I'll see ya guys later."

Then, she walks straight to the Ketchum household. And was surprised to see all the lights off.

"Huh? What's going on?" asked Lia. Then, she knocks on the door.

"Michelle! Are ya there?" asked Lia again. Then, she goes inside. "Hello? Uncle Ash? Aunt Serena?" she called her godparents, before turning on the lights.

"SURPRISE!!!!"

The lights quickly flashed to see Lia's friends and family all standing in a room decorated for a party. Lia gasped in pure happiness, before squealing. "You guys didn't forget!" she yelped in joy. They had thought of everything. A kitty shaped cake, her favorite candies and snacks, karaoke, and the things that caught her eye the most. The piñata, the 'Pin The Tail on The Donkey' game, and a huge pile of presents in the corner. Everyone laughed at her reaction.

"It was your father's idea. He wanted us all to pretend we forgot so that way the surprise can be much better!" smiled Serena. Lia then turned and found herself being picked up by her step-dad. She squealed and giggled.

"Papa! Ya didn't have to do this!" giggled Lia as Calem rubs his nose against hers.

"Oh be quiet! I knew you loved the surprise! I saw your face when the lights went on!" smirked Calem, before hugging Lia against his chest, cuddling her warmly.

(Happy birthday Lia!) squealed Fennekin as she jumped into Calem's shoulder.

(Happy birthday Mistress Lia. You're definitely one of the most loved faces in this city!) complimented Gardevoir with a smile.

"Happy birthday Lia!" said the rest. Sylvia then goes up to her with her present on one of her feelers.

(Here's my present Lia! Open it! You'll love it!)

(No! Mine first!) said Braixen, leaping in front of Sylvia. Kirlia soon jumped in front of them.

(No! She has to open mine first! I spent hours making it!)

"Woah woah woah! Easy there girls! She'll get to open your presents at presents time!" assured Calem, giving Lia a playful wink. The three Pokémon nodded and headed to mind their own business. Lia then sees Ethan sitting on a chair.

"W-what? How did ya get here?!" asked Lia.

"Hehe! It's none of your business..." Ethan chuckled nervously. Later, Lia was picked up again by Calem and he sits her on a chair. Then, the lights got turned off. And at the corner of her eye, Lia sees Delphox carrying her cake and walking up to her as everyone began to sing.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Lia~! Happy birthday to you~!"

Lia then thought of a wish, before blowing out the candles. Everyone cheered in return. Calem picks her up and nuzzles her.

(So Lia! What did you wish for?! Did it come true?) asked Chespin curiously.

"It already did." said Lia, turning to Calem. "I wouldn't be able to meet all of you if it wasn't for this guy!"

Everyone awed at that. Calem did as well, and hugged Lia, letting her nuzzle into his jacket. It was definitely the best birthday ever.
